This 110mm drainage fitting can be used equally well as either a normal pipe coupling or a slip coupling.
To use this fitting as a slip coupling simply remove the small plastic stops on the inside of the fitting by tapping sharply with a flat-bladed screwdriver.
Slip couplings are ideal for use when repairing damaged pipes, or in areas where space is tight as they can be slipped back and forth along the pipe and manoeuvred into the final position when the pipes are in place.
If you are using this fitting to join a pipe that has been cut to length, you should ensure that the pipe has been chamfered and that you have lubricated the seal using SG100 lubricant - this will ensure the best possible seal.
