This fitting is generally used in conjunction with the D500 and D501 gully traps. The tail of the hopper fits externally over a 110mm underground pipe - we recommend using SC250 solvent weld to make the joint once all fittings have been correctly aligned.
It is good practice to ensure that any pipes that are being introduced into the hopper head are brought below the level of the grid. This is achieved by cutting a circular hole in the hopper grid.
The top section of any gully grid should be at least 150mm below the damp proof course level.
