This 88 degree short radius bend is used to create a 90 degree change of direction in the soil stack. It is most commonly used on rainwater systems. The 88 degree angle of the bend is used to create a fall of 2 degrees within the system, promoting a self-cleansing flow.
It is available in 100mm and 150mm size options.
As Halifax pipes and fittings have no sockets, couplers are required to connect this bend to a pipe.

Cast Iron Halifax Soil
Halifax Soil is a socketless cast iron drainage system used for the above ground discharge of foul drainage and rainwater. An extremely flexible system, Halifax soil can be jointed using three different coupling options.
It is manufactured to BS EN 877 and is BBA approved. Correctly installed, Halifax soil can last over 100 years. It is exceptionally strong and is resistant to high temperatures, acids, alkalis and salt spray.
The Halifax cast iron soil system will not expand, contract, combust or emit toxic fumes. It is the ideal solution for rainwater and soil stacks in large public buildings or blocks of apartments.
