A soil branch is are one of the integral parts of any soil pipe system. It is used to bring horizontal and vertical pipe runs together, usually when connecting a pipe from a WC into the main vertical soil stack. Available in 45, 69 and 88 degree options, the commonly used 88 degree branch creates a fall that promotes self-cleansing.

As Halifax pipes and fittings have no sockets, couplers are required to connect this branch to a pipe.

Cast Iron Halifax Soil

Halifax Soil is a socketless cast iron drainage system used for the above ground discharge of foul drainage and rainwater. An extremely flexible system, Halifax soil can be jointed using three different coupling options.

It is manufactured to BS EN 877 and is BBA approved. Correctly installed, Halifax soil can last over 100 years. It is exceptionally strong and is resistant to high temperatures, acids, alkalis and salt spray.

The Halifax cast iron soil system will not expand, contract, combust or emit toxic fumes. It is the ideal solution for rainwater and soil stacks in large public buildings or blocks of apartments.
