Rest bends are installed at the foot of a soil stack, making the connection between the soil pipe system and the 110mm drainage system. Rest bends have a longer radius than standard 87.5 or 88 degree bends to minimise the chance of any blockages. They also incorporate a moulded plastic foot that enables the bend to be self-supporting - replacing the traditional half brick that builders used to use to support the bend.
The extended rest bend has a higher reach than a normal rest bend, it is 465mm high compared to the standard 342mm rest bend. Both ends of this fitting incorporate a 110mm ring seal push fit socket, allowing for plain ended soil and drainage pipes to be easily connected using some silicon grease lubricant.
