Long radius bends are used to give a longer, more sweeping curve when changing direction in a 110mm drainage system. A slow bend like this makes inspection and cleaning a simpler task, and is less likely to cause a blockage than a short radius bend.
The 110mm 45 degree long radius bend is most commonly used in a horizontal change of direction, whereas 87.5 degree long radius bends are often found at the foot of a soil stack, particularly in multi-storey applications.
Each end of this fitting is chamfered to accept a 110mm ring seal socket from a pipe or fitting.
