Soil access bends are used to change the direction of a PVC soil pipe whilst allowing access into the pipe from both directions for inspection and cleaning. Most commonly used in a horizontal plane, the 92.5 angle gives a slight fall which creates a self-cleansing flow within the soil pipe.

To use the access point, simply remove the access cap by unscrewing it from the threaded projection on the bend. This may release any blockage so it is always advisable to stand aside at this point!

This bend has a solvent socket on each end to connect to a plain ended pipe or to the spigot (plain end) of another fitting.

This solvent weld PVC soil access bend is available in black and olive grey.

Solvent Weld Soil System

Our FloPlast solvent weld soil system is commonly used in both domestic and commercial installations. It has been rigorously tested by the British Standards Institute and holds the prestigious BS kitemark.

To make a solvent weld joint, ensure that the surfaces to be jointed are clean and free of swarf. Apply SC250 solvent cement to both the spigot and the socket, assemble the joint and give it a twist to ensure that full contact has been made. Clean off any excess solvent and allow 24 hours for the joint to cure.

Note – solvent weld joints are permanent and cannot be de-mounted once made.

Orders placed by 12.00 noon will be delivered the next working day. Orders placed at weekends will be delivered on the following Tuesday. Read our delivery details for further information.
