This set of drainage rods is used for cleaning and unblocking pipes in a domestic underground drainage installation. It contains the following items:
- 10 x 900mm drainage rods
- 1 x rubber plunger attachment
- 1 x half-metal scraper attachment
- 1 x double worm screw attachment
The drain rods have universal joints, so they simply screw together and should only be rotated in a clockwise direction. They are suitable for insertion into an inspection chamber, access pipe and above ground rodding point.
The rubber plunger attachment can be used to shift blockages with pressure and suction, which will either push the blockage further down the drain to where it needs to go or suck it in and allow it to be pulled back up. The scraper can be used to scrape off sediment from the inside of the pipe walls and the double worm screw end can be used to retrieve an obstruction or break through solid build ups.
